2. The brake shoe is generally made up of two parts: the iron lining plate and the friction material. It must not be replaced until the friction material part is worn away. For the front brake shoes of the Jetta, for example, the new thickness is 14 mm, while the replacement limit is 7 mm, including more than 3 mm of iron lining thickness and nearly 4 mm of friction material thickness. Some vehicles with brake shoe alarm function, once reached the wear limit, the instrument will alarm to prompt the replacement of shoe. Reached the limit of the use of shoes must be replaced, even if still can be used for a period of time, will reduce the effect of braking, affecting the safety of driving.

3. When replacing the brake pads provided by the original spare parts, only in this way can the braking effect between the brake pads and the brake discs be better and the wear is smaller.

4. When replacing shoes, special tools must be used to push the brake sub-pump back. Can not use other crowbars hard pressure back, it is easy to lead to the brake caliper guide screw bending, so that the brake pad stuck.

5. After replacing the shoe, be sure to step on the brake to eliminate the gap between the shoe and the brake disc, resulting in no brake on the first foot, which is prone to accidents.

6. After the replacement of brake shoes, 200km should be run in to achieve good braking effect. The newly changed shoes should be driven carefully.
